Lily Grace and I went to the church to help put the Thanksgiving baskets together. I want Lily Grace to begin to understand the importance of helping others. She was one of the youngest there but, I think she understood that we were doing something to help others. I plan on making this a family tradition.

Six Flags

My dad's hospital had their family day at Six Flags this past Saturday. It was the perfect opportunity to see how Lily Grace would handle Six Flags without having to pay and arm and a leg to get in. Well....she liked it! She wasn't crazy about the Mini Mine Train or the Cave Ride. She said it hurt her tummy and the cave was to dark and scary. She really liked the swings and the merry go round. It looks like we will have to come back!

Halloween

Trick or Treating with Landry

My Little Strawberry Shortcake!
Our Minnie Mouse Jack o Lantern .
Pumpkin Patch in Hillsboro

Lily Grace was Strawberry Shortcake this year. We decided to fore go the Boo Bash this year and try Trick or Treating. We went to our friends Mike and Krista's neighborhood. Krista and I stayed at the house to give out candy while the guys took Lily Grace and Landry trick or treating. When the girls came back, we all sat in the front yard giving out candy. The girls had more fun handing out the candy than receiving it! I was amazed of how many older teenagers still go trick or treating. I was wondering what they were thinking when 2 three year olds gave candy to them. (I personally think it should be the other way around but, who am I to judge?)

Family Party

We invited the family over last Sunday to celebrate Lily Grace's birthday. I made lasagna and a birthday cake. We had a very busy weekend. Lily Grace had her dress up tea, party. We went to see Snow White at Casa. Then the family came over. Boy, was I tired! Lily Grace is worth it.
We gave Lily Grace a Strawberry Shortcake costume to wear for Halloween. Isn't she cute?

This cat will have to do. It is the closest thing to a cat that we will have in the McDaniel home! Lily Grace is pretty happy with it!

State Fair

We went to the State Fair on opening weekend. It wasn't quite what I expected but, anytime we spend time together as a family we have fun. Lily Grace and I rode the giant ferris wheel. I wasn't sure she would enjoy it but, she did. She loved looking down at all the sights.
Lily Grace played a game with Daddy.

We went into a pretend farm. I was hoping for a real petting farm but, she still had fun!

Build A Bear

We took Lily Grace to Build A Bear. They are great with kids! Lily Grace made a bunny. She chose a princess outfit for her bunny. She named her Cuddly. You can usually see Cuddly in Lily Grace's arms everywhere we go! She has never really liked stuffed animals but, Cuddly is very special to her!

A Girly Afternoon

I had been spending so much time at work that I left early one day and picked Lily Grace up from daycare. We went to get a manicure and had ice cream for dinner. She had so much fun. She said, "I want to do that again mommy!"

Tea Party

Lily Grace is 3 years old! I can't believe that this little angel has been with us for 3 years. She is such an amazing gift from God. We had a dress up tea party this year. She invited Ethan, Landry, Mavanee, and Annie. I had fun getting all the things ready for the party. Look at all the goodies! I didn't have to buy much! I just bought boas, and a tie and mustaches for Ethan. Lily Grace had everything else!
I decided to let the children use my china for the party. They did great. Here is what the fancy table looked like.

Lily Grace wanted muffins (as she calls them) for her party. I went to the Cupcake Cottage. Yum!!
Look at our beautiful guests. They are all ready for the tea party!

Everyone got to help poor their own "tea." I actually used punch this time.

The kids had punch, cupcakes, fruit and little peanut butter sandwiches.

Hollywood Florida

My wonderful sister took my mom and I to Hollywood, Florida for our second annual girl's trip. When we got to the hotel, my sister had my mom and I go into the bathroom and wait. When she called us out we each had a bag like this one sitting on the bed. She filled it with magazines, water, candy, and told us to choose from of list of spa treatments. She was taking us to the spa on Friday! I was so excited.

This was our home for 4 days. We were on the 19th floor!
The pool was so nice!
When you go under this bridge, you can look up and see a glass bottom pool on top. It was cute to see all the little kids swimming.
AHHHHH. The ocean!

Our spa trip. It was a good thing that we scheduled our spa day on Friday because it rained that day. In fact, it was a tropical storm.
Beach Time!

We swam, worked on our tans and I read about 8 magazines and a book. I never get to just lay around and read! We also ate pretty well while we were there. Friday we when to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. There were several shops and live music. We had fun walking around. My mom and sister played the penny slots. I am not a gambler but, I enjoyed watching them. I had an amazing time with my mom and sister. I am so blessed to have these girl trips.

4th of July 2010

We had a festive 4th of July. On Sunday, we went to my parents house for a BBQ chicken cookout, swimming and relaxing. It was a cool afternoon. Pawpaw and Granny came over too. That night we meet the Lynns to watch the fireworks. Travis actually had the day off. I don't think he has ever had the day off since I met him. He was super excited! On Monday, we went to Stephenville to have another cookout and swimming and a firework display by Katie and her boyfriend. I did not take any pictures from my aunt's house.:0( We didn't get home until 11:30 that evening. Lily Grace slept until 10:00 the next morning and took a 31/2 hour nap. I just love spending time with my family!
