White Christmas

Lily Grace enjoyed her first white Christmas.
"Look mommy! Snow!"
.Lily Grace wasn't afraid to lay in the snow!
Lily Grace even had a little taste!
This is how you make a snowman! First, make a ball.

Second, make sure you pack it down good .
Last, you have a snowman!

Christmas 2009

Santa came! Lily Grace was a very good girl this year!
Lily Grace liked her kitchen, food, baby and high chair.

Lily Grace got a stocking full of Mickey toys. She even got Minnie perfume and chap stick. She is such a girly girl!

We had lunch at our house with the McDaniel family. Lily Grace got a wagon from Grandma. She loves her wagon. She puts all her treasures in it and loves to sit in. She even ate her lunch in her wagon yesterday!

Baking Cookies

Lily Grace and I baked Christmas cookies today. It was a lot of work with my little helper in the kitchen. We destroyed my kitchen. I think I may have a future baker in the making! Lily Grace had a great time helping me today! I love that she is getting older so that we can do more mother daughter activities together!

Gingerbread House

Lily Grace and I built and decorated a gingerbread house yesterday. Lily grace had a blast! She didn't want to stop! I thought that I would put the icing on while she added the candy. WRONG! Of course she wanted to put the icing on. The fine motor skills of a 2 year old don't really allow for this. I tried to help. Lets just say that our house may not be beautiful, but we sure did have lots of fun!

How Many People Does it Take to Build a Swing Set?

It was a family effort. My mom and dad bought Lily Grace a swing set for Christmas. It took two days and 5 people to build the swing set! It was worth it to see the smile on Her face. she loves her swing set! I know she will have many years of fun!

Thanksgiving

It is the time of year when one should count their many blessings. I have many and I don't always choose to count them. I sometimes focus on what I don't have. Well, I have decided to write about the many blessings that God has given me. First of all, I am thankful that I have a christian husband. He loves me with all that he has and always tries to put me and Lily Grace first. He does without so that we are able "to have". I have wanted to be a mommy for as long as I can remember. My mom said that when I was little when someone would ask me what I wanted to be when grew up, I would say a mommy. I may have become a mother later in life than when I wanted but, good things sure do come to those who wait. Lily Grace is one of my favorite blessings! She is truly an amazing little girl! I love watching her discover the world. I am thankful that I live in the same town as my parents, sister and grandparents. I am so close to my family and I love spending time with them several times each week. Lily Grace is so blessed to be surrounded by so many people who love her! I am also thankful that I have a home. It may not be a two story home with the latest trimmings and tons of space but, I have a home that serves the Lord and one that the people inside love one another. I am thankful that I have a job that allows me to be home at least 10 weeks a year. I am able to spend time with Lily Grace and give her some experiences that stay at moms give their little ones every day. You all know that I want to be a stay at home mom so badly. God has other plans for me. I need to just allow him to us me and be grateful that I have the job he has given me. I am thankful for the toys that are spead throughout my house because one day they will be gone. I am also thankful that my little girl wants to be with me all the time. (I can't even go to the bathroom by myself.) I know that one day I will want her to spend time with me when she will want to be with her friends. I treasure our time together. I am thankful for my church family. I have so many people that I love. Some I have grown up with and others that I have met throughtout the years but, I can't imagine my life without them. They are my strength when I am week and celebrate with me when I am happy. They have made me a stronger christian. I have many more blessings. I can't count them all!

Happy Halloween!

Lily Grace was Minnie Mouse for Halloween this year. Her cousins Morgan and Shelby came down to go to our church funival. She had so much fun with them. She really enjoyed the candy!!! I think she has already had her share of candy for this season. I am going to have to hide it. Lily Grace really enjoyed going down the big slide with her cousins. I got to sit back and take pictures. I was glad I didn't have to get up in the huge blow up jump houses with her. I think we need to make it a tradition that her cousins come every year.

My smiling Minnie Mouse!

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

Pumpkins, pumpkins, and more pumpkins. We went to Mainstay Farms yesterday to get cute pictures of Lily Grace in the pumpkins. We had fun but, it was mainly for older kids. It was a little expensive. I think next year I will take her up to Walmart and put in the tub of pumpkins to get cut pictures :o). I have had a wonderful time with Lily Grace and Travis this week. I think that I should get one week off each month!

A Day at TSU

On Monday I took Travis and Lily Grace to Stephenville to visit good old Tarleton State University. I had a wonderful time walking around campus telling stories about my adventures at TSU. I was able to see some of my friends and my Alpha Gam advisor. The campus was busy getting ready for homecoming. I was able to get some great pictures of Lily Grace on campus. Aunt Karen got her a Tarleton cheerleader outfit for her birthday. I think it adds to the TSU pictures! She looked so cute that they took a picture of her and plan to put it on the TSU website!
