A New Dress

Well, I sewed for the first time. I made Lily Grace a Christmas dress. My mother is a wonderful and very patient teacher! I really want to learn how to sew. I want to be the wife/mother that can sew curtains, cute stuff like I see at Canton and say oh.. I could make that much cheaper, Halloween costumes and Easter dresses. This is just the first step. Boy, do I have a lot to learn!

T is for Turkey

Lily Grace's first turkey leg!
The Lewis/Jones/Parker/McDaniel families had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We went to Stephenvile to have Thanksgiving at my Uncle Keith and Aunt Karen's house. As usual there were tons of appetizers, main dishes and desserts. We did our fair share of making sure all the food was tasted. I love spending time with my family. Thanksgiving and Christmas eve are two of my favorite days of the year because I get to spend time with my family. Lily Grace enjoyed Thanksgiving a little more this year. She played with my aunt's cat and pug dog. She really seams interested in animals. I told her not to get to use to animals. I am not an animal person! She also discovered stairs. They have a two story house. She was so proud of herself as she learned to climb the stairs with grandaddy close behind. I held my breath! I have so much to be thankful for! I thank God for the blessed life he has given me.

Just me and my hubbie!

Lily Grace looked at the turkey more than she acutally tried to eat it!

Look Who Is Walking!

Lily Grace continues to amaze us! She is growing so fast and is learning so much. Our baby took her first steps on Labor Day. It was pretty amazing considering she has a double ear infection! Her confidence keeps growing. She will be running around the house soon. I guess I should get my tennis shoes ready!

Our First Family Vacation

We chose to go to San Antonio for our first family vacation. We wanted to get away but, not go too far. Many people said that traveling with an infant isn't fun or easy. Lily Grace amazed us! She was so good. She slept for three hours. We made a stop at the outlet mall in Round Rock. Then she sat in her car seat playing and singing the rest of the way! She was a good sport while we toted her around San Antonio. We had so much fun. I love making memories with my family!

We ate at Hard Rock Cafe our first night. I forgot about how loud the restaurant would be and wasn't so sure when we sat down. I thought the the noise might bother Lily Grace. I turned to check on Lily Grace and she was dancing in her highchair! It was so funny. She has pretty good rhythm. She didn't get it from Travis and I.
This was our home for two days. It was a nice hotel on the river walk. It was nice to walk instead of worrying about finding parking spaces.

The River Walk

Lily Grace had her first boat ride. She was such a trooper! It was late in the afternoon and we were soooo hot. She did not cry once!
A Family Picture

While we were on vacation, we ran into the 3 Stooges and Travis and Lily Grace had their picture taken with them. They were on their way to play golf.
Next, we flew to New York to be on the Late Show with David Letterman. He wanted to interview the cutest Nine Month old.
On our way back home we stopped in Washington D.C. to meet the president.
Forrest Gump invited us to rest on his bench after our long trip.

While we were in San Antonio, we visited the wax museum. Some of the statues looked real!
We had an amazing time! I'm looking forward to many more family vacations!

The Flash!

Lily Grace has been crawling for about 2 and 1/2 months! She is so fast and curious about everything! I turned around for a second and she was in the t.v. entertainment center. When I called her name and asked her what she was doing, she gave me this guilty look.

This Sunday we went to the McDaniel family reunion in Gainesville. We went to Leonard Park. The weather was great. The wind kept us cool. This was the first time Lily Grace got to meet the McDaniel side of the family. Lily Grace got to swing, slide and ride a train for the first time. We also went to the Frank Buck Zoo. The animals weren't out but, we had fun spending time with family.

A Wonderful School Year

Lily Grace had her last day of school (daycare) this week. I couldn't have asked for a better daycare. Her teachers were so loving, caring and attentive to all her needs. As a working mother it is hard to leave your baby but, the staff at Little Elks made it much easier. Thank you Linda, Neeva and Meemaw.

Lily Grace loved her teachers Mrs. Linda and Mrs. Neeva

On the Move!

My baby is growing up so fast! She crawled today! She did such a good job! Everyone beware! When we come over you better watch out because she will want to go exploring! Look at what a great job she did in this video.

First Swim

On Memorial Day we went to Uncle Keith's and Aunt Karen's house. We had a wonderful time. Lily Grace saw and actually touched a dog for the first time, she worked on crawling and went swimming for the first time. We had a blast! She loved the water! I can't wait until she can really play and swim like a fish! Check out how cute she looked in her first swimsuit!
