Pumpkin Patch Fun!

Pumpkins, pumpkins, and more pumpkins. We went to Mainstay Farms yesterday to get cute pictures of Lily Grace in the pumpkins. We had fun but, it was mainly for older kids. It was a little expensive. I think next year I will take her up to Walmart and put in the tub of pumpkins to get cut pictures :o). I have had a wonderful time with Lily Grace and Travis this week. I think that I should get one week off each month!

A Day at TSU

On Monday I took Travis and Lily Grace to Stephenville to visit good old Tarleton State University. I had a wonderful time walking around campus telling stories about my adventures at TSU. I was able to see some of my friends and my Alpha Gam advisor. The campus was busy getting ready for homecoming. I was able to get some great pictures of Lily Grace on campus. Aunt Karen got her a Tarleton cheerleader outfit for her birthday. I think it adds to the TSU pictures! She looked so cute that they took a picture of her and plan to put it on the TSU website!

Lily Grace's 2nd Birthday

It was a great day for a birthday party! Tutus, tiaras, cake, ice cream, friends and family...who could ask for more? Lily Grace was very excited about her party. She wanted her cake when she saw it this morning. She has also learned the art of opening presents!
Ethan, and Annie enjoyed ice cream and cake too!

Lily Grace had no problems blowing out her candles!

"Two cute ballerinas!"

"A quick pose before the party!"

I made Lily Grace's cake this year. I was so nervous. It didn't turn out quite how I wanted but everyone seemed to enjoy it!

We took Lily Grace to get her 2 year pictures. Isn't she cute?

Summer Fun

I found a good deal on a table and I painted it for Lily Grace and my mom covered two chairs for her. She loves her new table. She also discovered how to have a tea party. Every time Lily Grace sits at her table she says, "tea?" Lets just say I have had my share of tea for the summer. She also likes wearing her tutu. We have had a lot of fun this summer. I am looking forward to having a real tea party for Lily Grace and her friends. Amber, you are going to have to give me some tips on how to have a fun, creative tea party.
Lily Grace posed for a photo on July 4th.
We started our summer off with VBS. This year I didn't work in the preschool VBS. I got to be a part of the skits each night. I wore a blond wig each night. At first Lily Grace did not like me in the wig. I let her try it on. Travis said that Lily Grace in the wig reminded him of the part in E.T. when he was dressed up and hiding in the closet. Pretty funny. So what do you think? Does Lily Grace look good as a blond?

We had a nice 4th of July. We went to my mom and dad's house. We went swimming, ate and of course watched the fireworks. That was a late night for Lily Grace. You can tell when you look at the picture of Lily Grace and Landry sitting and waiting for the fireworks to start.

Lily Grace and Landry had a lot of play dates this summer. Don't they look cute in their tutus?

Lily Grace is very interested in being mommy's helper. She likes to unload the dishwasher, take the clothes out of the dryer and help with our meals. It is so sweet. I wonder what age it is that children stop wanting to help with household chores.

My wonderful sister treated my mother and I on a trip to Marco Island in Florida. It was beautiful. We just sat by the pool relaxed and read. I finished a book and got half way through another book. I loved it. I never get the chance to just read all day long. I have always wanted to see blue water and white sand. My sister got me the white sand. Maybe one day Travis will get me my blue water!

Lily Grace stayed with grandma Delores while I was away. She had fun. I think she wore poor grandma out!!

ahhhhhhhh... a beach sunset. Isn't God amazing? He knows how to put on the best shows!

The three girls out for a night on the town!

Lily Grace enjoyed swimming in her little pool at home. It is not as cool as Me-me's but, it will do!
We enjoyed the ocean the first night we were there!

Travis and I took Lily Grace to feed the ducks! She had so much fun throwing the food to the ducks. The turtles liked the food too! Lily Grace was really excited to see the turtles. A Turtle is one of Lily Grace's favorite animals right now.

We went to a splash pad in Grandview with Landry and Grace. I thought Lily Grace would love it. She did not care for it. Luckily there was a park nearby and she enjoyed playing with her friends in the park and having a picnic.

We went to Aunt Amy's house for a swimming party and dinner. Lily Grace loves spending time with her cousins. She wasn't too sure about the pool at first. Travis kept throwing the girls in the water. They would scream with joy. Lily Grace did not like that! She was afraid to go near Travis for a while. She finally enjoyed time with him in the pool. As you can see swimming took it out of all three of the kiddos. They enjoyed some time relaxing in front of the t.v.

Look at what I can do!

Lily Grace loves to go swimming. We bought the arm floaties on Thursday and she was swimming by herself that evening! She loves the water! I just can't believe that she is not even two years old and she is swimming across the pool! She also loves to climb the ladder and jump to you in the water! She is growing and learning so fast!

Mother's Day 2009

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Lily Grace and Travis sent me Lilies at school on Friday and I woke up Sunday morning with two beautiful cards and a gift certificate to have a massage. Unfortunately, Travis had to work so I went to lunch with my parents, sister, paw-paw, granny, my aunt, my uncle and my cousins. Then, we went to the Westin Gardens. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The flowers were breath-taking to look at. They had a harpist playing relaxing music and we had tea to drink. We took some pictures in the garden.
I am truly blessed. I love being a mother. I can't believe that God trusted me enough and believed in me to give me such a precious angel to raise.

Train Ride

While I was out due the Swine Flu epidemic, Lily Grace and I met the Williams family at Trinity Park to ride the train. It was such a nice cool day! Lily Grace isn't smiling in these pictures but, she had a great time!
