Look at what I can do!

Lily Grace loves to go swimming. We bought the arm floaties on Thursday and she was swimming by herself that evening! She loves the water! I just can't believe that she is not even two years old and she is swimming across the pool! She also loves to climb the ladder and jump to you in the water! She is growing and learning so fast!

Mother's Day 2009

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Lily Grace and Travis sent me Lilies at school on Friday and I woke up Sunday morning with two beautiful cards and a gift certificate to have a massage. Unfortunately, Travis had to work so I went to lunch with my parents, sister, paw-paw, granny, my aunt, my uncle and my cousins. Then, we went to the Westin Gardens. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The flowers were breath-taking to look at. They had a harpist playing relaxing music and we had tea to drink. We took some pictures in the garden.
I am truly blessed. I love being a mother. I can't believe that God trusted me enough and believed in me to give me such a precious angel to raise.

Train Ride

While I was out due the Swine Flu epidemic, Lily Grace and I met the Williams family at Trinity Park to ride the train. It was such a nice cool day! Lily Grace isn't smiling in these pictures but, she had a great time!

My Girly Girl!

Well, I said I wanted a girly girl and I got one! Lily Grace is at such a fun age right now! I have two funny incidents (They weren't funny at the time but, now they are.) Lily Grace is able to unscrew lids. One evening we were getting ready to meet some friends for dinner. I was putting on my makeup and Lily Grace was watching me. When I finished she picked up my base and my sponge(that I don't use). She was carrying them around the house. It was time to go so, Travis put her into her car seat. I saw that she had the sponge in her hand and didn't think it would hurt anything to let her hold it. I did not see the base still in her hand. Well, we got to the restaurant and I opened the door to get Lily Grace out (Travis dropped us off by the door) and I got a huge surprise!!! Lily Grace had opened the base and was covered head to toe!!! She was just smiling! Three days later... I was buying my Easter dress the day before Easter and trying to hurry and get out of the store. Lily Grace was tired and crying. She reached into my purse and got my brand new cell phone that I had bought earlier that day and my lipstick. I quickly took the cell phone away and she screamed even louder so, I let her hold my lipstick. I put her into her car seat and closed the door. When I got home I got my second surprise. That's right... lipstick all over my little sweetie! I learned my lesson the second time!

I am having so much fun playing with Lily Grace. She loves playing with her baby doll. She feeds it, rocks it and wants me to wrap it up in a blanket. She even rocks it in her new chair! She is so sweet! Lily Grace also likes to wear my shoes. Check out the picture of her in my high heals! Lily Grace and I also play with her dollhouse. She makes the little dolls go through the door, rings the doorbell, makes them walk around and even puts the baby in its bed! I love being a mom! Girls are so much fun! Look at all these precious pictures!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter. Lily Grace hunted eggs for the third time. She became quite an expert. I just re-used the eggs that Travis' mom had for her at her house. She had put little treats in them. I was just going to hide the plastic eggs. Since we had already used the eggs some were empty. Toward the end of the hunt Lily Grace started to shake the eggs. If she didn't hear anything inside she threw the egg down and went to find another. She would put the eggs that contained a treat inside her basket. SHE KEPT US LAUGHING!! It is amazing how fast they learn!

It is a Texas tradition to take your child out by the highway and take a few pictures of them in the bluebonnets. Here is our precious Lily Grace!

Practice Run

My mom and I took Lily Grace to the park for an Easter egg hunt. I wasn't quite sure if Lily Grace would understand but, she did! I am so proud of her! It was crowded with several kids but, Lily Grace managed to find several eggs and she put them into her basket! Now she will be prepared to hunt eggs on Easter Sunday!
