A Day at the Zoo

I had the most wonderful day. Our friends Kelby, Kelly and their daughter Annie (who is Lily Grace's age) came down for a visit. We decided to go to the Fort Worth Zoo. It was such a good day to go. The weather was perfect. It wasn't too hot or too cold. It was a little cloudy. I took Lily Grace last year at this time. She was only five months old. Wow! What a difference a year makes! She had a ball! She would laugh and clap her hands and point to all the different animals. She knew how to make elephant ears and trunk from a song that they sing in Sunday school. She kept making the signs while we were looking at the elephants. She was so precious! We also went on a carousel ride. She smiled and said, "Weeeeeeeee" She would wave at Travis and Annie as we went around. I had so much fun watching her throughout the day. Her eyes just lit up the whole day. I was so glad that Travis was able to be there with us. We had an amazing day. I am so blessed to have such a precious family!
Our first trip to the zoo as a family

"Daddy, can we go see the elephants now?"

Lily Grace and Annie liked the gorillas. "Elephant Ears"
"Everything looks better on Daddy's shoulders."

"We love our Daddies!"
"Wow! Can I touch?"
" Weeeee!"
Lily Grace and I took our picture in the same spot last year.

Lily Grace kept pulling on the poor goat's horns. I think she thought that they came off!

Lily Grace had a long but, exciting day at the zoo!

Polka Dot Fever

Lily Grace was a good helper this weekend at Aunt Stacy's. She liked helping her decorate her new house. She didn't know that there was a cute little girl who lived there!

Lily Grace loves playing with her grandpa!

I can't believe the weather we had this weekend! I decided that Lily Grace and I should wear our brown pants and our brown polka dot sweat shirts this weekend to relax in. Don't we look cute!

Having Fun

I just love spending time with my girl! She is so funny and so smart if I do say so myself! She continues to grow and learn new things everyday. This weekend she learned to drink from a straw. Then she loved taking the straw out and putting it back in. She loves doing things like that. She has figured out how to put the circle shape in her cookie jar with the shape cut outs. She loves putting things back together and trying to figure out how things work. I think I may have a mathematician!

I bought Lily Grace 4 hats just like this one in different colors and just like her bows, she keeps pulling them off! Doesn't she look cute though?

Lily Grace loves going to the park and climbing up the slide and sliding down. She loves watching the "big kids". She got a little over confident of her climbing abilities and fell and busted her lip. She cried but as you can see, she returned to her smiling self shortly after. (Look at her poor lip!)

My pretty ballerina. Lily Grace loves to dance!

Superbowl Ballerina

We had a few friends and family over to watch the Superbowl. Lily Grace wore her tutu for the occasion. Lily Grace loves music and loves to dance. This is what she did during the half time show. She is so entertaining! Her performance was much better than Bruce!

The Bible

This past week Lily Grace has been into two things; climbing on everything and the bible. She has learned to climb on and into many places. We had to take the footrest out of our living room because she would climb up and stand on it. In this picture she climbed up on the couch (with my help) sat down and then climbed down ( by herself). She went to get her purse and her bible. She climbed back on the couch, sat down, and began reading the bible. We have several bibles in our house that are different sizes and different colors. It doesn't matter which bible she gets. She just loves to carry them around and she reads them in all her secret hideouts. I think it is precious!

Happy New Year!

We had a fun new year. The Lynn family and the Williams family came to our house to ring in the new year. The children and the adults had a great time playing with the new Christmas toys. The adults enjoyed the Wii and the babies enjoyed Lily Grace's new toys!
